I think atp it’s just draining to always be dragged into something when you’re a swiftie. Like I’m a swiftie and I don’t normally pay attention to the charts but I DO notice the amount of hate and center of attention it brings w Taylor. She could’ve just left it at industry ppl, she’s a grown woman she knew what she was doing by mentioning Taylor’s name at all imo

Absolutely nothing. She wasn’t wrong about what she said but it was a weird statement since she’s now happy to be back on the charts. I don’t think she meant anything bad by bringing swifties into it but that’s just me

Also I’m gonna assume that swifties are the ones who are digging this up? If anything this just portrays swifties in an even more negative light😭. If we’re gonna dig up decade old stuff bc someone said something very neutral about us, we can’t get offended that people think we’re crazy

I think she mentioned Taylor bc she’s one of the biggest artists rn with one of the biggest fanbases. Being at the top comes with being used as an example, either good or bad

That’s why I’m just not buying the whole backtracking and explanation she gave. She knows how big Taylor is and what her fan base is like, and the hate that comes with it. I just feel like she could’ve left her name out of it, because it wasn’t a compliment

They are, and they can’t be surprised by the backlash that’ll come with it. This isn’t just some "swiftie" issue, a lot of different fan bases do this. 💀 though, her backtracking and making a post to admit she does care about the charts as well, I thought it just proved what she meant by it, which was in a negative light to Taylor’s fans 👻
