it’s bc they are single and depressed and want everyone to wallow in their misery with them bc everyone has a victim mentality rn. it’s FUN and lovely and my love drunk ass is eating it up with you🫶

why does it have to be tho?? 1989 wasn’t some crazy lyrical work either and it’s one of her biggest albums. sometimes things can just be fun without it being genius. like personally i don’t really like or listen to folklore or evermore i don’t want more albums that sound like them. they were good in the moment but i don’t want more. i want fun pop again i want to hear through her music that she’s happy and having fun and in love again.

1989 had a bit more *class* and was more timeless. the lyrics weren’t making any pop culture references and stayed on theme with the era. this era is completely off and it felt like a cash grab from her. she doesn’t have to fight for the top so she ends up producing mid lyrics and production and it’s just embarrassing.

it’s been out for 1 day let it settle my god😭😭 some of yall would’ve hated 1989 when it came out just like everyone else bc it was different than her country era
