they mean that folklore and evermore were very well written, they’re not talking about the genre. obviously taylor is a pop artist who sings bubbly loves songs, these new songs just cringe and poorly written compared to every single other album

Lover had good songs too, just bc me and London boy were on there doesn’t erase Cornelia Street, or false god or daylight! Nothing on showgirl or encore can really redeem wood or eldest daughter

Remove cancelled from that list and I’ll agree with you lol. I know eldest daughter is supposed to be cringe, that doesn’t mean I find it bad. And I love London boy, just giving an example of a cringey song that a lot of people don’t love
