have you listened to the whole album? honestly i get and know that some of the lyrics arent level folklore and evermore, but its not as they paint to be imo, what do you think?

I have listened to the whole album and I was just like why on new heights did they talk about the lyrics being folklore level (I cannot remember who said it but I remember hearing it) and I was excited bc folklore is my favorite Taylor album and so when I heard the lyrics after having that in mind I was immensely let down. I think if I hadn’t heard folklore level lyrics beforehand I wouldn’t have gone in expecting it

I totally get youu omg, folklore is my favorite Taylor album too, and I honestly think it’s her best, but she’s not in that era anymore, and that’s fine, there will probably be another album in the future where she taps back into that vibe, this one is just meant to be fun and more up-beat rather than lyrical, and even if some lyrics are a bit cringy, it’s really not as bad as some people make it seem, but i completely get what you are sayinggg

I just feel like there was false advertising like she can make that fun not deep album but don’t go around saying there are folklore level lyrics

yeah, I get that 😅 calling it “folklore-level” was misleading for sure, honestly, if you just enjoy it for what it is, it’s fun and joyful, some lyrics are cringy, but its bearable lool haha
