I think that year was just too stacked. Iirc it was nominated for a smaller category like pop vocal but I think she lost to Ariana?

Yeah it lost to sweetener which like lowkey slapped but also a lot of people were still riding the Taylor hate train at the time so who knows if that played into it at all
