I know but my point is like- this album now has a theatrical release that’s only available in theaters for a very short period of time. I know making music isn’t free- and I love supporting her financially as an artist- but I feel like the paywalling of the full experience is intentional because she knows people will pay for it no matter what. And that makes me sad. I feel like she used to make music to make music. And now it feels like she’s making music to make money.
Hmm… The music itself is the heart of it all, and actually can be accessed for free on Spotify, YouTube, etc. So is she obligated to keep everything else free? No! She (and any artist) has the right to place and charge monetary value on events, physical versions, photography, extensions of the project, etc. Like I’m willing to pay for a fun experience or item!! I also honestly think the prices she sets are extremely reasonable. She could charge WAY more if she wanted to 🤷♀️
nah i can’t lie her merch team always comes up w the ugliest shit but tbh if she didn’t do anything like release cds or variants or shit people would still find a way to complain and be like omfg i wish she’d release something! i do wish she would’ve released at least a single though
