I just watched the podcast tonight, but she kept putting so much emphasis on the word This when talking about the album (THIS album). Perhaps instead of a double album it’s two separate albums, life then death of a showgirl?

def not. idk why everyone is so strung up on some double album theory. shes only ever done it twice(if u can even say that) and even then TTPD the anthology was more like one giant album than two separate albums that are intertwined like folklore and evermore

The album is about life behind the scenes during the eras tour. Not life after the eras tour. She said this during the podcast. Life would be the positive stuff and death would be the negative part. She kept emphasizing the word this when talking about THIS album. With midnights something happened at 3am, with TTPD something happened at 2am, so it’s likely something will happen at 1am the day of release. And nothing is that serious. It’s just a fun theory.

Tour life wouldn’t be all glitz and glam, so it would make sense to talk about the good and bad.

I heard that, I watched the podcast. She said 12 songs on this album. If it’s two separate, that would still be true. This isn’t something we need to argue over. It’s just a theory, all in good fun. I’m perfectly happy with a 12 song album.
