It’s a bad look for Taylor. Remember when she spoke out against Netflix for the Ginny and Georgia joke (that was a little misogynistic but less misogynistic than calling women bitches). It’s giving that she only cares about misogyny when it impacts her
Now that showgirl has been out for a while can we talk about how she made a point with the folklore love triangle and better than revenge tv to not portray any of the girls as villains… and then called girls “bitches” in like 3 songs? Idk feels odd

Clean version changes it to ‘the chick was telling me…’ which to me it’s still not so good because why we calling them chicks there can also be a negative connotation to it sooo to meeee it could’ve been ‘and a girl was telling me or and some random girl was telling me to or just and some girl was telling me to even and she was telling me to idk 🤷

This last album was just really misogynistic and that’s part of the reason I don’t like it. Honestly I would say hating women is one of the themes of the album and how fame pits them against one another, and this could have been explored in a more feminist way like she did in the lucky one or in a more self reflective way like she did in nothing new, but she took the lazy misogynistic writing style and called them bitches
