Yes because Sabrina is the only artist who can claim her sexuality…

taylor’s failing at it by trying to be cheeky but that’s not her. she is witty and a poet. she CAN write sexy music but she needs to do it less provocatively. dress is a beautiful example of sexy.

I fear you don’t actually know Taylor lol. She has always been campy cringe corny. She can write sexy music well, but she doesn’t always stick to that formula.

She just for the first time in a while put that corniness into a song. Wee usually only see it when she’s talking and stuff but she now feels comfortable enough in her personal life and career to actually showcase it in her music

i’m fine with one or two campy songs like me or you need to calm down in an album but when the album is 12 songs. and more than half are campy/cringe/gonna date itself in a year idk man…

No, none of us know Taylor at all. But we know Taylor the brand and how she does music and how she conducts herself. We’ve known it for almost 20 years. This isn’t an out there album for her at all

It won’t date itself in a year lol. People said the same thing about literally every album before this

The problem is she set up the standard for herself to be this great writer that’s what she’s known about and when the album doesn’t have good lyrics, people are going to be upset about it like they are right now I feel like that’s very telling

I don’t know I feel like tortured poets is a little dated, but I also wasn’t really a fan of that work of hers. Unfortunately, I tried getting into it, but it just wasn’t Vibing with me.

She didn’t set a standard though really. She writes what she wants and she wanted to right music like folklore, evermore, and ttpd during those time periods, and people decided that she was only allowed to write albums like that from then on out, and act like anything else in a sin to music

She writes how she’s feeling and her lyrics capture that well, that’s her writing style, her happy shit is gonna be cringe and corny and cheeky. That’s what makes her a good songwriter, she doesn’t try to force literary masterpieces when it isn’t needed or for the sake of pleasing the pretentious assholes with turned up noses and sticks up their asses because she didn’t follow their standard.
