like this lyricism is i think genuinely some of the worst ive seen from an artist that CAN write but very clearly is just choosing not to because she knows ppl will eat it up anyway

Fr it seems to me she’s kinda just stopped caring. She’s at the point where no matter what she does she’ll b loved by her fans and she has generational wealth.

So she’s just putting out whatever really. That’s why nearly every song is using other popular songs as samples and the lyricism is awful. If any other musician put this album out it would be hated by everyone.

exactly. Like i know it's about being a virgin or whatever sure. BUT LIKE. She's going on 40 years old singing about something that like a 15 year old would write about. Arguably better i think too!

Fr she’s too stuck in the style that popularized her as this awkward white girl. Like it was fine for a while but like u said she’s going on 40, ur simply no longer and awkward white girl at that stage.

Plus there have been other similar creators, Miley cirus, Ariana grande, who had the same initial view as these awkward white girls but they both actually expanded past that and have become entirely different people now
