I feel like it’s worth noting that when it comes to record labels, they do have policy that prevents their artists from speaking out about major political issues. It has recently come out that the head of UMG is a Zionist.
She basically refused to say anything about children being bombed in Gaza for two whole years. And her fans be like "Yeah, that's okay... Mother!"

And no, that does not make Taylor a Zionist. She signed them in 2019, nobody was digging deep into figuring out peoples stance on that in 2019.

I always assumed this was the case. Would it be great if she spoke out? Obviously. But until she gives a pro Israel stance I’ll still listen to her

So worth noting that she is known to donate privately because otherwise it’s pretty performative. And she was photographed going to a Palestinian benefit event with Selena.

Exactly. Pretty sure if she were pro Israel she would have posted something on Oct 7th. Pretty sure others under her label did and were allowed to bc of the head’s stance

I don’t think you realize how money ≠ safety Taylor might be rich- but she’s also a serious public figure head that is under a lot of contracts and involved with a lot of other serious companies and businesses. Think about all those famous people who mysteriously died right before/after making serious political statements. Not saying she’s being threatened into silence— but it’s kind of universally known that the more “important” you are- the more risk associated with stating your opinions

Now that I’m out of time out I can respond. Being rich doesn’t save you legally. People think billionaires are always untouchable, but there are ALWAYS gonna be bigger fish. Especially if those above you are richer than you (they are richer than her). And the one above me is 100% right.
