It’s not homophobic but I hate that line bc now the gaylors stopped crashing out and they’re making theories about her and charli 😭😭😭

I’m not a gaylor, but upon my first listen, having forgotten about the charli x taylor lore, and therefore not knowing what the song was about, it did feel homophobic to me as a queer person. I know the song is not like that, but it reminded me of the thing we’re some homophobic people are like “oh that d*ke is obsessed with me”.

Dude IK. But I’ve seen like 2 tik toks talking about how it’s homophobic. Like what.

But that saying alone, is not homophobic. That’s the meaning behind the saying that makes it homophobic or not. And the meaning behind Taylor saying that, is not to be homophobic

Usually when some says something like “that d*ke is obsessed with me” they are trying to be homophobic. I’m not saying Taylor is homophobic with this song - just that it’s not crazy to interpret the song in this way even if you know that’s not what Taylor wrote it about.

However, it is weird to speculate abt someone’s relationship - and I can’t speak on this bc I haven’t seen any posts by gaylors.

I know you aren't saying that it's meant to be like that, but the song is definitely just about trying to make someone feel embarrassed and like you don't take it seriously after they try to bring you down.

It’s not homophobic, that is the point of this point. Nothing else

Ik the song isn’t homophobic but it’s not crazy to draw the similarities - I’m not speculating, I’m just thinking of the song in terms of what it could mean for me not Taylor’s intention when writing it
