it’s bc of max martin that’s how he produces. he’s been doing this since the 2010s. he only uses a few different chord progressions. that’s why lots of pop songs sound the same bc he’s the biggest producer and makes them all sound the same😭

There are four chord progressions, Ed Sheeran literally fought in court for the same thing. He proved that any song can be played with the same four chords.

The company for Jackson 5 is probably the only one that isn’t afraid to sue her but they all should try to get some sort of credit

Were all of them credited? I know George Micheal was for father figure

I read something that said she interloped them like she did with George Michael but maybe we only heard about that one bc it was confirmed/leaked?

Oh ok I’m not able to go see it in theaters and can only hope it’ll be on streaming one day. But I read that she did that for those songs on the album as well as Cool by the Jonas Brothers for The Life of a Showgirl song

Nothing else is mentioned, and they’re definitely not credited. It’s the four chord progression and tbh it’s Max Martin too. Ed Sheeran recently proved that any song in the world can be played using just four chords 🤷🏻‍♀️

I mean he’s not wrong lol most artists use the same chords I mean to be fair I didn’t think the songs sounded like others but I’ve never heard the other songs they sounded like
