Naming it after her? Not cool? The tax itself? Absolutely. I am like 98% sure Mamdani just did a super duper similar thing in NYC & that’s what helped to close their budget deficit. (I’m not in nyc)

It’s not for Taylor swift specifically; it targets all people with second homes valued over a million dollars to make sure they actually pay a fair tax to the place where that home is located.

It doesn’t even make sense to name it after her but it’s a good thing that the states are making more taxes for the rich. I wonder if that’s even the official name or just a name someone made up to stir up more controversy about it
