hey yall, i wasn’t going to comment or respond to anyone bc im trying to avoid pointless fighting. when i post or talk to people in this specific community, id prefer not to talk to or interact with people who supports people who wants my rights / the rights of others taken away along with people who think its ok to discriminate against people bc of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, etc.

Taylor is literally friends with trump supporters (ie britney). “Keeping the peace” doesn’t mean blocking anyone who disagrees with you. This is what leads to people dehumanizing and thinking it’s ok to murder people with different beliefs.

Different beliefs now aren’t what taxes are for, it’s literally about human rights. It’s hard to willingly keep someone in my life that doesn’t think I deserve full rights over my body

Obviously I can’t ignore everyone who’s a trumpie but I can choose who I want to be friends with. If I have to interact with a trumpie I just keep them at arms length- I’m cordial and I’ll do what I have to do to get tasks done but I don’t keep trumpie friends

I’m a moderate and definitely don’t support or agree with everything Trump/Republicans do, but I think these generalizations about his supporters are super harmful. The majority of Republicans I know support gay marriage (honestly can’t think of anyone I know personally who doesn’t). And I have no idea where you’re getting the idea that they don’t care about those people dying. The left and right may disagree on the solutions to society’s problems but their goals are largely the same

You are pretty privileged to not have to interact with a maga population. Kirk has said gun deaths are necessary, several states have said that they won’t allow abortions even if the mothers life is in danger, and the Supreme Court has said they’re looking into turning over gay marriage. You can’t be mad at a generalization when it’s majority of a party, especially when they’re loud

yes, i understand that interacting with people with different povs is important when it comes to life in general (especially politics). however, since i’m already surrounded with it and it consumes my daily life, id rather not have to deal with it in this community. i’m tired of fighting with people who dont try and understand others povs and are ignorant to what’s happening in our world so thats why i asked nicely to block me or let me block you for both our benefits. idc if i get hate for this
