i understand why swifties have stopped being swifties. i’ve definitely disconnected from her music cuz i don’t wanna listen to someone who actively hangouts w maga and is besties w maga. i had only 52k minutes of taylor this year cuz i don’t wanna listen to her rly yk? that’s why i had such a huge decrease it’s usually 100k+. i’ve been listening to a lot of gaga #leftistqueen

Genuine question, why do people keep acting like Brittney Mahomes is some extremely MAGA person? She liked a singular Instagram post one time. Then Gaylors dug up her voting records for some reason and found that Brittney has never even registered to vote. And then after Trump made the “I hate Taylor Swift” post, Brittney’s publicist reached out to the daily mail and said Brittney doesn’t support him anymore. last time she spoke out politically there was a legitimate terrorist threat to her concert and children were stabbed at a dance class themed around her. the literal president of the USA constantly targets her online, which directs even more negative attention to her, from the same group of people who did a domestic terrorism on the capital of the country she lives in a few years ago. there’s no way you expect her to be miss liberal when it endangers her and her fan’s safety

Why? I think it’s really important for artists to use their platforms to encourage people to vote, raise money for foundations, support people, etc. it could be issues that effect her too and it would still be better than silence (like reproductive healthcare)?

Cause I personally don’t feel it matters who people are friends with based on politics. Sure things like racism and sexism, etc. are things that are justified in not being friends but I just don’t care who she’s friends with. Plus I think too many people care about wha celebrities think politically. It never made sense to me.

I don’t live a privileged life actually 💀. I work 3 jobs everyday and go to school. I have my own political beliefs but I don’t give af who thinks what. Everyone has a right to their beliefs without hate or discrimination.
