tempered glass can just do this completely unprompted. These things are under rly high pressure all the time so if there’s a tiny fracture or a chip in the glass or an impurity like a tiny rock or smthn the tension holding it all together can be broken and it’ll just explode. I think I explained it right but maybe google it-point is whether you broke it or not you could literally just say it did it on its own bc it’s normal. Happened to my mom too
