Asked one simple-ass question during class and my professor lectured the whole class on why it’s bad to ask something like that 😕💔 I didn’t mean to offend it wasn’t my intention

Right? I don’t get it either— like I’m not sure if she was just in a bad mood or what but it was so uncalled for. I don’t know why she took it so seriously, but it happened.

It’s like these professors or people in general get mad when you ask a question , but then also get mad when you don’t ask a question let alone a “stupid” question. Don’t let the class laugh at you cause that’s a lecture in itself then say no questions are stupid but it’s OK for the professor to call you out like that

Pure contradiction from some of these professors like I know it could be seen as a pretty basic/dumb thing to ask, but it’s a given when the syllabus is set up so that we have to ask questions/give feedback for a grade. And to flat out spend a solid 3 extra minutes criticizing someone for asking something that annoys YOU personally is just I don’t know, excessive? I didn’t mean to cause any offense by asking my question…Either way, I just can’t wait for the semester to end.
