I feel isolated in this community. I am a straight binary trans man. Some of my views have being aligned with transmedicalism when it comes to the experience of dysphoria. I have never attacked someone but I cannot share my opinion without being attacked

I feel like I don’t relate to other trans people’s experiences, I don’t like being openly trans, I don’t like getting into gender expression. I’ve been shamed for wishing I was cis. I feel like there’s so much hate is this community. I’ve never put another person down but I’ve been put down. People tell me I just hate myself and that’s why I have these opinions. I know this is gonna get downvoted, but that’s exactly what I’m trying to say. We preach acceptance but bully the hell out of eachother

I find it so hard to fit into the trans community. I’ve tried joining lgbtq things on my campus just for the events to be stuff like drag shows, and cross dressing events. Im not trying to start a fight. But I can’t deny how out of place I feel in the community im supposed to belong in. Does anyone experience anything like this? Is it just me?

Glad it’s not just me. I was worried about it even posting this. I posted smt like this in another community a while back and got absolutely ripped apart

You dont sound like a transmedicalist to me. Some annoying people in the community cry "transmed" when it's just a trans person with severe dysphoria who wants to pass and be stealth. Theres nothing "assimilationist" about wanting to be seen as your gender

I guess. I had someone call me transmed and a self hating asshole because I wanted to be cis and didn’t love being trans. They insisted hrt was a complete cure to dysphoria and I shouldn’t still have insecurities since I’m on hrt

Yeah wishing you were born cis is like the number 1 common trans experience lol that person was tripping. Transmed is when you think being trans is a mental disorder to be cured, not wishing you were born the opposite sex

I guess I got lumped into it because my view is similar. I think being transgender is a medical condition. I don’t think it should be considered a mental illness, but I think it should remain medical at least. I feel like keeping it titled that makes it easier to get hrt. Hrt should be seen as life saving treatment. It’s not a cure but it should be seen as something we need. Those who want it should not struggle to get it
