I got nexplanon birth control implant and it stopped my periods, ended up being v affirming unintentionally for years

I have Nexplanon too! Unfortunately it made me go up like 2 cup sizes and did not stop my cycle. It did make them less painful and heavy though!

i'm on nuvaring for atrophy+stopping periods and i love it! i didn't want anything i couldn't stop right away (nexplanon/iud needs dr removal, i can just stop taking the pill or remove my ring) so they weren't right for me, but if you're open to trying diff types of bc op, you can! it's trial and error but the good results are gooood

Overall, I think I’m more geared towards trying to get an iud, or genuinely seeing if I can get the whole organ removed (family history of cancers), truly think I’m just gonna go with an iud tho, it’s just a more semipermanent solution I don’t gotta think about. Worried about side effects and needing a doctor to remove it tho, I’ve heard stories of people removing their own but that sounds incredibly painful
