As #2 said, Reddit can be a wealth of information for HRT and most things related to transitioning. Obviously not a stand-in for your own experiences and meeting with an actually COMPETENT provider, but… it sure is a treasure trove otherwise!

have you talked to a doctor yet? i did a bunch of research on my own first, but when i actually made an appointment for hrt i got it prescribed immediately

I had an initial appointment at PPH but it was basically me being like “I am concerned about x side effect, thoughts?” And she basically was just like “idk, if you’re not sure, then HRT isn’t for you”

Unfortunately I’m not in a position where I can afford a better provider, my insurance is very minimal, and I can’t afford to pay out of pocket in the foreseeable future, I’ve seen the services to get pills cheaper but I’m still in all of the before phase and that’s the hard part for me

totally understand that, unfortunately might be best to try and research your specific questions online (reddit is great for hrt related stuff ime) and then go back and tell them what you want
