no. trump’s EO stopped that, there was a VERY brief injunction, and then the supreme court suspended the injunction. all passports are being issued with a person’s ASAB. the passport agency can cross-check sex information with the social security administration (to see if it matches and/or has a history of being changed). depending on the state, some issue new birth certificates and some say “amended” which can also get flagged.
there are a handful of “success” stories for people who never had a prior passport, whose state issues new birth certificates, who updated their sex with the SSA prior to this administration, however those generally occurred fairly early on. i haven’t heard of someone recently having success. if you apply for a passport, be prepared for and expect a gender marker reflecting your ASAB.
Yeah, honestly my plan was to just keep everything with my AGAB until I could change it smoothly through the proper channels. I just had an unfortunate situation where somebody issued a document with it changed (without asking me) I made a separate post, so now it’s a consistency problem
