The estrogen emotions have hit why do I feel like seven things at once and why can I not identify any of them🧍

My trick to identify emotions is to listen to music, see which songs resonate, then kinda pick the next song based on how the past song resonated to try and identify what you are feeling. I'm also a singer so I tend to sing along as well but if u have voice dysphoria then simply listening should still work

STOP CRYING I KEEP CRYING AND HALF OF THE TIME ITS NOT EVEN FOR AN IDENTIFIABLE REASON 😭😭😭 But apparently that’s not even a puberty thing it’s just gonna be like that forever now which like is affirming but *christ*

Estrogen does amplify the ability to cry but also hormones changing does lead to increased emotional volatility, so once your hormones stabilize you should cry a bit less

Yea it’s like. Minimum 5 times a week rn. I just got on injections so it’s probably more so rn just cause my E is likely rising. I cannot wait to be at stable female range levels lol cause goddamn I see what you mean about the emotional volatility😭 That has definitely been happening a lot the past few days since I did my first one :P

Ooo that’s cool. I like singing however I live in a dorm and that is embarrassing lol so probably won’t this time lol but I might try that.

my dorm had a dance studio that was fairly isolated so I kinda belted there, but yeah fair lol

Also this amount of emotions is new to you rn it's kinda like a flood but over time you'll learn how to handle this new level of emotions and you'll probably cry less

My dorm has pretty thick walls (literally made of brick) but you can kinda hear people in the hallways so :P Still like honestly pretty good sound dampening all things considered tho. But definitely not enough to belt lol. You can sometimes understand what people say if you’re outside their door (I wasn’t snooping however I do have to walk through the hallways so)

Yea that’s probably true as well. I have cried more in the past month alone than I have within the previous five years at least lmao😭 Like it’s crazy how much like? Different? My emotions are? Like I think it’s gonna keep getting higher too tbh cause I’ve only done one dose so far so my E is probably gonna keep rising for a *while*. Oh god yea that’s right I gotta call my hrt clinic about getting my lab results

If your clinic is planned parenthood you should be able to check via mychart

doors are always the least soundproof part of the dorm

Nah mine is an independent local clinic. It’s really good they have tons upon tons of resources for me but yea they can be a bit slow about getting my results in.

Yea for real. My walls are like. Thick as fuck. And made of bricks. But you can’t exactly soundproof a door nearly as well.

If you place a towel on the bottom to essentially seal the doorframe, it does significantly increase soundproofing ability

I just called them and apparently the reason is the provider I saw for my appointment has been sick this week lol. But they said if she doesn’t come back on Monday or Tuesday they’ll have someone else review it and send it to me :3 But yea it’s a great clinic I am very lucky with how many resources they give me and they’re suuuuuper helpful. I’m actually gonna email some questions to a voice training place that is on their list of recommended ones soon!!!!

It’s not like just a general voice training clinic like some of the others I saw it’s like specifically for trans people!!!! God I’m so excited I can’t wait to get that set up.

results with planned parenthood are kinda crazy like one time i got my results and emailed them about it cause something looked weird and like... they hadn't gotten the results on their end yet

another way to identify emotions is to just write, keep writing. one time I wrote 6 pages in 3 hours, it was really cathartic tbh

I tried the towel thing while I called my hrt clinic! Dunno how well it worked lol but I haven’t heard anything from outside my door for a while lowkey so it might’ve worked pretty well. Also I will try that. I journal sometimes so that could be useful to figure it out.

i have a notebook called "therapy thoughts" where I just write down thoughts, questions, ideas, things I wanna work on in therapy throughout the week so I don't forget, it's really useful actually
