do what you can to transition. safety first of course. try to figure out if anyone you rely on (especially parents) are accepting and how much transitioning you can do rn. the earlier the better but there's no shame in waiting until it's safe

Btw Spencer’s sells trans tape and tucking underwear, you could also order stuff from Janet’s closet, it’s a store for trans women

honestly if i could do it all over again i’d say wait for a bit before medically transitioning just so you are sure because you have to be consistent. and also experiment with clothes and makeup

Take your time figuring out how you like to express yourself, without the pressure to be a certain way, and see if there are any safe people around you that you could come out to (but don’t come out before you feel ready ofc). Welcome to the community girly <3

Do not get on estrogen immediately, start with androgen blockers for a while

That’s great, but starting it immediately when realizing can be a bit much tbh. Also blockers will help with facial hair and other stuff (I don’t feel like explaining but I encourage the OP to do their own research on it). But please don’t diy I BEG you 😭😭

i also do diy and have had no issues. if you're still on your parents' insurance it's definitely the best option. of course do your research, but it's not nearly as risky as it sounds

Anyone doing diy should have a basic understanding of the human body and endocrine system too

yeah. it's worth the effort learning so you can have the control to make it cheaper & easier to hide.

Also then it is MUCH less risky when you understand what’s going on
