no, my mom will say that she picked my birth name for me and by getting rid of it I’m rejecting the first gift she and my dad gave me and I’m hurting her.

yikes. does she still use the pacifier she got as a baby? that was one of her parents first gifts to her too. sometimes people age out of gifts and its not about the person who gave it to you. good luck
