how have they not learned to be chill and not gaf about what people call themselves 😭 they act like all trans men lesbians push themselves on other lesbians because of internalized transphobia when the ones I know are the most secure people I know

hot take: if your identity is threatened by someone using your label in a way you disagree with, maybe your identity wasnt that strong to begin with

i feel like theyve found online queer spaces and have yet to experience irl queer spaces, like the people theyve met are Exactly Like Them and they have not yet met people from different backgrounds

Frankly after reading some of the posts it seems like a lot of the argument is cause people aren’t distinguishing between trans men, trans mascs, butches, and he/him lesbians😭😭😭 They’re treating them as if they’re all the same thing???? Lord almighty this is why internet discourse is never positive.

even if someone Is a trans man i dont CARE if he calls himself a lesbian, hes probably too busy kissing his beautiful trans man butch husband or something to care if hes Allowed to call himself a lesbian. me personally im too busy kissing my beautiful nonbinary dyke girlfriend (im a chaser) to give a fuck whether im allowed to call myself a lesbian OR a trans man (im not picking one.)

i dont wanna say anything because i really just dont have the energy to have 30 19yo girls in my dms talking about how i only transitioned bc of internalized misogyny or something

whoever typed “I love my beautiful non-binary dyke girlfriend because I’m a chaser” (or whatever it said, which was clearly a joke) I love you

Yea real😔 Overall I’m just tired of the arguing. I hate internet arguments cause no one is ever satisfied at the end. And there is never a productive outcome.

i love irl arguing because odds are if i dont walk away with at Least new perspective i didnt have a conversation in the first place. its person-to-person and even if i dont agree i more than likely at least understand more

Honestly I barely ever have irl arguments😭 At least ones that aren’t with my toxic family that is. But yea it’s so much easier to actually learn something from talking to someone irl

im in a beautiful and supportive circle where all we do is argue and disagree productively. we usually dont end up agreeing by the end (sometimes we do) but holy SHIT is it hot and sexy to have a productive, educated conversation where at the very least perspective is gained

Nice😎 I hope I can get that someday. I think I personally need to get more mature first though ngl.

that may be the case, and thats okay. i hope you find a good group of people to grow with in the meantime, conversations like that build maturity. they build connection, problem-solving skills, empathy, research skills, and the ability to stay level-headed instead of getting heated
