Do any other FTM men fear / have a really hard time believing that a truly gay man could ever be attracted to you? I have a hard time disputing people who say it's conversion therapy rhetoric to say a HOMOsexual could enjoy biologically straight sex

Yes, I have this fear. The problem for me is that I don’t doubt I’m attractive as a man but with how things are once I out myself I suddenly might not become desirable anymore

I definitely have this fear, as a gay trans man 😭 It’s difficult out here

I mean it doesn’t have to be “biologically straight,” you can always use the back hole.

Gotta say once you get to a certain point in your transition only gay gay gay guys really want you like as much as transphobia says they can always tell I’ve messed with guys who thought I was cis/don’t only fuck trans guys. Get outta ur head about it these men don’t deserve your worry. You swan he frog.

Feel this all the time, as someone pre-transition, I hardly ever pass and it feels so awful to not only know people see me as a woman, but that the gay men won’t see me as one either and not wanna be with me.

Okay Im ngl here, go on grindr. Even if its not for hookups, just watch how many gay men flood your inbox and find you attractive. Its a confidence boost at the least and a fun time at best

Dude people have preferences, I’m FTM too but not everyone is going to have a preference of your genitals. Not everyone is going to be attracted to you and that’s ok, quit focusing on all of them and find the one that loves you for you. either way people are going to find you attractive, just know that everyone isn’t going to be attracted to you and no one is obligated find you attractive just bc you’re a trans dude

And if you’re comfortable with it you could try sexting or fooling around, but you could also just say in your bio that youre curious and want to take it slow!

I’m sorry but I would actually advise most trans people to avoid Grindr. It’s full of chasers and most of them don’t see trans men as men + only think about what’s between your legs. I personally found it very dehumanizing and I’m not on there anymore for that reason

This is what I do already but like in my head I'm still thinking a guy who does anal with a woman isn't magically gay lol

I specifically put in my bio that im not into detrans or chasers. Its all about your own comfortability ofc, but a lot of gay men on there (at least in my area) do just enjoy trans guys the same as cus guys

I pass pretty much 100% of the time to strangers but I'm pre-op so once the clothes come off it becomes impossible 😞

Same, I pass pretty well nowadays, and I could explain away my top surgery scars but even that would probably clock me to most people because people know about it now. It’s rough out here lol

Sure, thats great for you, but my advice to most trans men would be to avoid Grindr like the plague if you don’t want to be seen as an exotic sex object lol. Funnily enough the more I passed the less interaction I got on there

I have met many sexy gay trans men on Grindr + cis men who were chill. If you stay safe and use block button liberally you can have a nice time.

Where did I say I have a problem with anyone's preferences or that they're obligated to find trans men attractive?? Of course not lmfao, that's not what this post was about. It's about thinking that no man who DOES like me could be GAY because I'm not seen in their heads as a MAN... it's about feeling like any relationship I do have is based on a lie

Okay well some of us do actually care about being viewed as men and if the person fucking you thinks they're fucking a woman then you're pretty much just humiliating yourself for sex

Where in my comment did I mention that everyone else has to think like this? I mentioned me, myself, and I, not you or anyone else lmao I will never understand why others feel so attacked when someone voices their own personal preferences 💀

It was sort of implied we should be more like you when you felt the need to announce to everybody, on a thread about caring about being perceived properly as gay men, about how you couldn't care less lol

like idk at the end of the day it's your choice but if you're comfortable having sex with straight guys who will go on later to brag about how easy it is to sleep with desperate confused girls if they larp as gay on grindr then you might want to reevaluate some things

What part of my comment ever implied any of that??? Where did I even remotely state that everyone needs to be like me? I stated that I’m one of those that personally don’t care, you are the one that implied that I was talking about everyone even though nowhere did I imply that. I couldnt care because that’s how I personally feel with strangers and how they look at me alone, not everyone else

Like I said, I only want to get dicked down, that’s what Grindr is for in my eyes. I already dont care what they think about my gender, I’m only using these men for their dick to have a good time, how he views me has no affect on my everyday life💀

I know what you said, it's just that having a stronger desire to get fucked by anything with a dick than to retain respect / dignity as a man isn't exactly a very masculine "preference" and might lead people to assume you aren't much of a transsexual at all, seeing as it's less important to you than cock

If you don't care what people think about your gender, why even transition? You may view yourself as "using them" but in this situation you're the one being used, because these straight men assume you're just easy tomboy pussy

This is legit so true. Dick isn’t worth it if you’re sacrificing your dignity and self respect. Casual sex is fun and all, and I do enjoy it, but it does say a lot about someone if the person is willing to ignore how shitty people view them in exchange for sex

Wtf? Is it not normal to feel sad or left out over the fact that a significant portion of the population might not like you just because of something that’s out of your control? When did OP say that he needed gay guys to be attracted to him? Crazy of u to jump to conclusions
