it’s also not necessary to recap needles if they are immediately being placed into a sharps container

when i'm really pressed for space i keep the capped needles to put in the sharps bin and toss the syringes in the trash

I just do that all the time cause when I didn’t I ran out of room in my first sharps box super fast lmao. Not like syringes are gonna stab anyone.

i could fit a decent amount in mine with syringes, but i could empty it pretty often since my university had sharps disposal bins in the bathroom

it is but recapping can introduce unnecessary risk, this graphic is helpful for if someone does need to recap needles but if they’re using a sharps container it’s redundant
