as much as i want the beard, deep voice, and fat distribution i am SO scared of the other changes T gives you. besides even more acne and bottom growth, i’m asexual and i don’t wanna develop a libido :(

You can be asexual and have a libido; libido doesn’t mean being attracted to other people

testosterone doesn’t equal libido. a lot it comes from socialization and encouragement of male hypersexuality. in my personal experience as a trans female, i had next to no libodo when i was T dominant and estrogen ended up skyrocketing it instead. everyone’s different

t didn’t give me more acne, bottom growth is cool and while it’s normal to feel anxious abt some changes you should probably unpack why you feel that way, libido increasing doesn’t necessarily mean changes in your sexuality. also, *if* your sexuality does change, that can feel destabilizing to your identity but it’s just a natural consequence of having different life experiences. if those changes really freak you out, you can add a DHT blocker to reduce them but it will also impact facial hair.

That’s a confidence thing; T makes you feel more comfortable with your body and more comfortable with your sexuality. I thought I was pan but I’m just gay. Trust the process brother 🙏

also please don’t be scared of normal bodily and mental functions 🫡 you’re human, and humans can feel those things. giving yourself grace will always be your friend

a lot of people have a negative view of bottom growth because of stigma against trans and intersex people, the belief that genitals “should” look a certain way is rooted in cissexism and interphobia. not saying that’s necessarily what’s happening in your case, just that it’s incredibly common and something to consider.
