my experience of middle & high school is a bit more coherent to me if I recontextualize it via the lens of “I wasn’t ostracized for being Masculine so much as I was for being ‘effeminate like a fruity boy’ (as opposed to ‘feminine like a normal girl’)”

cause like… I was never conventionally masculine to begin with? 😭 so I didn’t understand why peers treated me like the idea of me being a girl (or a boy, for that matter) was so laughable. but then I look at the autistic bisexual adult that I am now and it sorta clicks for me
