WHAT IS IT WITH FREAKS CALLING EVERY TRANS PERSON A FEMBOY?!?!? Fr irks the shit out of me. Trans women, nonbinary peeps, curvy trans men for some reason? Like even totally masc, fat hairy trans men are out here being called femboys. Not every androgynous/trans person is a femboy goddamn!!!

It bugs me especially because I LIKE femboys, they're cute and I'm friends with some wonderful ones, I believe in trans-femboy solidarity because we both defy gender norms, just in different ways; but idiots doing this drives a wedge between femboys and the trans community

It also sucks because I am a trans man and I see myself as a femboi as my own identity but it really ruins it when people find out bc then they use it against other trans people or they say im not really trans because I’m not masculine enough

i wasnt exactly called a femboy, but i had some cishet women friends CONVINCED i was a bottom. like im ftn enby, 5’0”, and was less muscular/more fat at the time, but was still very masc presenting and always talked about being interested in dating women (and femmes usually too). i was literally straight up about not being a bottom (which obv nothing wrong w it, das js not me). but ig bc of my physical attributes and having a very social/energetic personality, they would always tease me about it

It’s a super misogynistic way of putting down queer bodies as lesser or other by associating them with the feminine, implying that being a cis dude is the baseline for deserving respect as a human and everyone else only exists below it (and, therefore, below cis men). But of course homophobes and transphobes won’t say that in as many words, so they just stick to calling us all femboys.

Fr. Mfs have this weird stereotype of being a bottom and it’s annoying asf. Even other LGBT people have fallen into it, I’m a top but I don’t necessarily look it, and it’s annoying having people assume
