if you don’t mind answering a couple questions, do you use transtape to pack or smthn else? which packer are you using? i’ve been thinking about trying it and read the transtape guide and looked at a couple different brands, but it just seems like a lot of money to invest.

Hair removal recs vary wildly depending on the sensitivity of your skin, what your body hair is like, and your income. What specifically about the alternatives makes them non-viable for packing?

1) I use the cotton KT tape you can get at CVS. I have an optum card through work that covers medical expenses and the tape is covered under that but i believe it’s like $13-20 per roll and they last a while since I only use half a strip.

2) I use either the colt or the stag from born wear for the packer itself. they are custom made but like $35 each so they are in high demand and hard to buy unless you place your order on their restock day. I love the packer itself it’s a little small for me but until i save enough to get a 3-in-1 i’m not going to complain. This way of packing for me makes me feel more like it’s in the right place since a lot of other packing gear doesn’t rest wear a cis bulge would.

oh wow! thanks for your reply. bornwear was exactly the brand i’ve been looking at the most/was at the stop of my list, so hearing another positive review is super helpful.

body hair is corse and i’d just like to get a product from like target or cvs. the alternatives have either been wildly expensive like packing boxers that cost 15-20$ per pair and some of the slings i’ve bought are good at first but then they shift and i just feel like i either look hard or weird when im trying to shift it back into place.

Yeah I had one from Trans guy supply and it was good but too wiggly if that makes sense but bornwear had been good to me. I have been looking at upgrading to a 3-in-1 or 2-in-1 from Ackobom after seeing really good reviews they are just wicked expensive and kind of hard to navigate.
