Tape vs binder? I am wondering if I should invest money into getting a binder vs tape, currently I’ve got a pretty average chest but I do have scars from a reduction surgery. I also run hot and have to climb a lot of stairs in college. (1/2)

Keeping things hidden from family is also a pain point, I’ve kept binders hidden from them in the past but I’m wondering with tape if it’ll be ok to apply it on a Sunday evening and take it off midday on a Thursday, also what are everyone’s recommended ways for taking off tape?

i would say tape - wearing a binder in hot weather is genuinely hellish. i can usually leave tape on for like a week, maybe a week and a half. i don’t do the whole oil removal thing, i just get in the shower and go very slowly (would probably go better with the oil i just don’t want to have to buy it)

i definitely recommend tape but also get one binder-type thing for if you ever run out or for a break day for your skin (i got an lgbtunicorn swim binder off amazon for like $15 tha works for me but i've also seen not great reviews. it's easy to take breaks cause it's a zipper, it's generally affirming swimwear, and it's breathable for summer)

I have been leaning towards tape, and I also have leftover bio oil from when I was doing scar care. I’m just wondering if it would hurt more taking it off cause I would only be having it on for less than 5 days a week

it might but if you’re using the oil it should be okay. i will say that i can only make it a long while without removing by being really careful about how i shower. i’ve had it last closer to 5 days in the past

i tape with k tape from walmart and it'll take a few tries before you learn how to best put it on, but it'll hold up for at least a week in my experience
