ong ive said this so many times irl, it would be much more useful for doctors to know what parts a person has, their hormone levels, history of the two, and if the person is taking medication, other treatment (including surgery), or planning a change in those two categories

exactly. there were many cis women in the comments of the post i stole this from talking about how much trouble they have with doctors post-hysterectomy bc of assumptions that are made.
