Genuinely want to tell them “use whatever pronouns for me, at least I won’t be under the misguided notion that you’re actually respecting me when I’m not around” instead of asking they use he/him

Also yes I’d love to just talk with this person and get them to understand where I’m coming from rather than being rude and kinda petty, but they have a tendency to think they know better than everyone else and that they therefore don’t need to listen to others. So, talking in a diplomatic, kinder way won’t work
