Sometimes I’m bothered by people complaining about r/transpassing telling them they don’t pass. Like… you posted asking for an honest take on whether you pass. You got told no. That’s not transphobic even if it’s hurtful?

Sometimes people ask if they pass because encouragement would mean the world to them, sometimes people want actionable style critique, and sometimes they really want an honest opinion to predict their safety in a given situation… I think there are places and times for all of those, and people should ideally be honest with themselves about which they’re looking for at the time

I get gendered 100% correctly every single day but transpassing told me I don’t pass AT ALL because I have long hair and rectangular glasses lmao sometimes they just genuinely have shit takes

Exactly. Reddit is just a bad place to ask for advice or to be emotionally vulnerable in general. Let alone for something like this. The people there are just plain mean. I avoid trans Reddit like the plague ngl.
