My surgery was $300 with good insurance, but it mostly depends on your area. If you’re American, check your states laws on insurance requirements for coverage; if insurance policies have to cover GAC or not. You can also check for out of state surgeons, I think out of pocket can cost $3k-$10k. Then there’s the golden goose, Medicaid. Free surgery from the taxpayer 🙏.

totally depends on insurance and location. i live in NY and have BCBS, the surgery will cost me $500 + whatever anesthesia and other hospital fees might be, but those will hopefully be covered under my insurance. you can find affordable care as long as your insurance covers it :(

my bf got his top surgery for $50 basically just a deposit and a compression binder. he was on his moms insurance from the state of california. you also can try to get a job specifically for their insurance, like working through the state. also there’s out of the country options that are cheaper, like I have heard from a doctor I went to in mexico (for an ear infection) that a lot of trans people go there for surgeries.
