“I’m a lesbian but I like trans guys too.” Pls don’t try and date me if you identify as lesbian, it makes me dysphoric 🥲

Nah seriously, I remember being with this girl and asking her how she could be a lesbian and date me at the same time (she came out after we got together when she initially identified as bi) and she said “Oh, well you look feminine enough, so I’m still attracted to you” 🥲

while he/him lesbians are valid, people need to remember that the vast majority of trans guys who date women are NOT he/him lesbians

if youre both attracted to each other youre letting labels ruin it :/

Yea this is why I find this whole argument stupid cause I literally NEVER see actual trans men being the ones to argue this point😭 It’s always someone else.

^^ this part like i support it but please leave me out of it, i hate it when ppl generalize about trans men and lesbians being in the same category

Labels mean a lot. If I’m allergic to peanuts but I see a label on a jar of cookies that says “contains peanuts”, “iTs jUsT a LaBel.” Then I freaking pass away

I think the point here is that deliberate misgendering by other queer folk sucks balls

i dont think it's deliverate misgendering, i think its an accidental mislabeling of their own sexuality. if youre attracted to a trans guy, youre not a lesbian in my opinion

youre not picking up that item and putting it in your cart till you get to the checkout, knowing it has peanuts in it, then blaming the store for selling peanuts

I agree with you. I think both cases happen. I’ve been hit on by lesbians who knew I was a trans guy because they still considered me women, and I’ve known other former-lesbians who realized they did like guys after liking a trans guy
