If they're transphobic, you probably can't fully get them to accept it sadly. For mine, I explained that it's mostly a medical thing and that I'm much happier now, and they like mostly accept me but they don't see me as a woman and probably never will.

I wasn’t sure how my parents would react, so I phrased it as a respect thing. I told them that they didn’t have to understand it, but that it’s a sign of disrespect and distrust to not respect it when otherwise I’d feel unsafe and not want to be around them. I gave them some resources and told them to look at them instead of arguing with me. it had ok results, I still get misgendered but they use my chosen name
