I’m in it every now and again and each time always reminds me why I never rejoined that community. It’s just chronically online discourse after chronically online discourse. Everyone’s arguing and trying to devalue other queer folks while there’s growing hostility towards LGBTQ+ people as a whole

Like who the fuck cares whether someone’s identity makes sense to you?? We need to be there for each other and our local communities more than ever now. Those that came before us and got us where we are didn’t sacrifice so much just for us to bicker over whether someone’s sexuality/gender is valid or not

this ^ here & Aro/Ace Space are the only communities I actually trust 😭 but friends are obviously more fun & trustworthy. drama around identities hurts more tho so I just use this + have friends

That’s so frustrating. It’s so valid for people to try out being trans and then discover their identities through the process. You can change your mind. You’re not stuck being trans. I feel like so many eggs stay eggs because they fear this kind of “consequences” if they do detransition, so everyone feels they have to 100% know themselves before making any moves and that’s a horrible way to live. I’m glad you’ve found a label you feel comfortable in!

No fr and I identified as trans for a little over three years before realizing that masculinity was just an **aspect** of my gender and people lost their minds. And on top of that, one of my biggest fears as an egg before when getting ready to come out was being seen as falling under the “all trans people detransition eventually” stereotype and I feel like that’s a fear of eggs, too

Absolutely!! My partner is cis man, but for a bit he tried out nonbinary identities and he has a more complex sense of his gender than any of our other cis friends
