No literally like why am I going from slightly small man feet to freakishly large women feet that kinda feels unfair🧍

Don’t quote me on this but I think it’s cuz men’s shoes have a wider/larger toe box and women’s shoes have a higher arch based on statistics obtained from the Feet Researchers™️

went from mens 12 to woman’s 11. i think i was woman’s 14 before so that’s a drop of 3 sizes😭

no offense but have yall like never noticed this before? it’s been this way for decades men’s shoes are always 2 smaller than women’s. if im a 7 in women’s im a 5 in men’s. genuinely no offense i am just surprise yall haven’t noticed yet? because men usually naturally have larger feet and women naturally usually have smaller? i am simply surprised is all

did you read what i said they’re pointing something out that doesn’t mean they never noticed it

i guess i did read wrong but i don’t see how the difference is a big deal? the sizes are different because men usually have larger feet so their sizes run smaller so they have larger size options. that’s why a women’s 7 is a men’s 5. they simply need bigger shoes

Yeah. So just make them all either women’s sizes or men’s sizes, and then women can have size 5, and men can have 7

Anonymous replying to -> #9 14w

did you read anything i said? they have the “smaller” sizes so that they can larger options with the bigger numbers. a men’s 13 is going to be larger than a women’s 13 because based on sizing when women reach size 13 its a men’s 11 giving men 2 more whole shoe sizes above the entire women’s sizing range (they all usually go to 13 where i live). switching it would ruin it all. this is truly not a big deal or transphobia at all. it is simple common sense shoe sizing

People switch shoe “genders” all the time tho? I’m not claiming it’s transphobia I’m just saying it would be easier if sizes were just standardized for everyone 😭 I use shoes from both genders, so I just compute what my size would be for whatever shoe I’m getting and buy that. It literally makes no difference whether they’re “men’s” or “women’s”

i’ve gotten shoes where the man version has a much bigger toe box than the women version. none of it is transphobia and it’s marketing shit. you did specifically say give the men the 7 the women 5 as well which is why i even replied at all. it is all dumb. this post is dumb. it’s all fucking stupid because shoes are not transphobic and the logic actually makes a bit of sense if you read my explanation with th whole sizing thing. bye folks! i can’t explain the same thing over and over anymore

You ask a damn good question for both. all the women in my family have flat wide feet and all the men have high arches (except me but for obvious trans reasons) so it would be REALLY FUCKING HELPFUL to have those individual measurements.

yea like instead of arbitrary gendering and numbers just have measurements of length/width/arch! you can assign arbitrary numbers to each of those values if you really feel like it
