felt the urge again tonight when I touched my face and it felt like their were tiny worms burrowing in my skin. I’m even more worried since I realized this might become a form of self-harm since it feels good/relieving when I tweeze even if I bleed a bit
I’m worried that I’m developing obsessive/compulsive habits because of facial hair dysphoria. I’ve scratched at my face/follicles absently for a while but recently it’s gotten worse and I’ve started rushing to the bathroom to pluck it. shaving isnt enough

a little advice is to redirect those picking urges. i have trichotillomania and i told my therapist and one good way she recommended was to have something else to pick at. i have a jacket with those little beads of fabric on it, and everytime i get the urge i redirect it to that jacket and pick the beads of fabric off instead of my hair. ofc everyone is different, and this might not work for you but i hope it does, or that u can find some other way to help 💖💖
