Having my top surgery date is both so exciting and seriously stressing me out. I have never had surgery before so i don’t know what to expect. But financially planning this and being prepared for recovery after is weighing on me.

I got surgery rigt after I lost both my parents and moved into a dorm. I recovered by myself in a dorm with no car or friends. It was hard because I was alone. But if you have atleast one family member or friend to help you, you will be okay. It wasnt painful, just uncomfortable and tiring. And something I didnt know is that you get JG tubes (they drain access fluids). Those were annoying.

Thank youuu 🙏🏼 luckily I have a few family members close by and some roommates who will absolutely help me if I ask for it. I am just a mega stresser and my dad has always been very vocal about how against surgery he is in general. The whole you might not wake up thing seems to be his biggest fear which he tells everybody constantly. And I’m just like bro… stop manifesting

You definitely will wake up. Anesthesia is used about 60,000 times per day. I would be more worried about waking up during the procedure. But if your not a red head you should be okay.

Thankfully not a red head, I love the sun too much. I’m really sorry to hear about your parents. That must have been so hard. I hope you’re doing ok. 🫶🏻
