Is it possible for me to start T without getting facial hair? I mostly want bottom growth and a lower voice but I REALLY don’t want facial hair

its all up to your genetics. and if you really want, after getting facial hair, you can do hair removal

You could always shave 🤷‍♀️

You can take finasteride with it which MIGHT slow beard growth, but you can’t pick and choose. It’s either all or nothing with T

do you want like muscle/fat redistribution stuff? cause that requires you to consistently be on T and facial hair will (likely) be incredibly hard to avoid. but otherwise voice/bottom growth happens significantly in the first 6 mo- 1 year for most people, and visible facial hair shows up starting around 6 mo to years (again depends person to person). but like #2 said I think hair removal after would be the most reliable method

Worse comes to worse you could just do what trans girls do and get it zapped off with electrolysis tbh.

Or wax. Or epilator

aka you could start, get the permanent effects you want, and stop and remove facial hair that did show up if you don’t want the continuous muscle/fat effects

I do want muscle fat redistribution but not at the cost of facial hair so I’ve given up on that dream lol. I can’t get laser because of my hair color but electrosis might work

I have also heard from my endocrinologist that 100% of her transmasc patients w/ a uterus & on t that also take finasteride get their period back. So note for others that that's probably pretty likely and can be a risk for some people

also i do have a period (ughhhhhhhh) bc of it, so im on nuvaring (birth control ring) continuously to stop my periods + treat vaginal atrophy (it's free with my insurance under the ACA since it's birth control, unlike the estrogen creams or tablets)
