Okay so I’m not trans but I have a trans friend, and she keeps saying that I’m an “egg.” She hasn’t told me what that means but I remember vaguely hearing that was slang in the community, so can someone tell me what that means?

Don’t worry about it. Tell your friend to stop calling people that

She thinks you have transgender vibes. If you aren’t trans, just tell her that you aren’t.

it's a word to describe trans women who haven't realized they're trans yet (cause they turn into chicks). even if she does think you're trans, she shouldn't say that to you though. someone's egg cracking because of someone is one thing, but trying to force a chick out of an egg will just hurt the chick. if you want to look into what it's like to be a woman, be my guest. but don't listen to her if she's trying to tell you that you're trans. that is disrespectful of her.

Ah okay that makes sense. Not sure how I do, I mean I do think about what being a woman is like often and I’ve talked to her about that but that’s probably not that uncommon

From my experience and from what other trans people have said, often thinking about what it’d be like being the opposite gender is something all trans people have done at some point. That could be why she thinks you have trans vibes, but that’s just my guess.

Oh alright that makes a lot of sense haha. I’ll talk to her about it. She’s never been really forceful about it, only teasingly calling me it whenever I tell her about when I imagine myself as a woman, but if it’s not a good idea to do that to someone she thinks might be trans I’ll tell her to stop.

of course!! and this isn't something so crazy that it needs any sort of hostile confrontation, it's just a general rule that you have to let trans "canon events" play out, for lack of a better term. i seriously doubt she's being malicious, but if you say you are cis, she should take your word for it and not keep calling you trans lol
