what’s the chances of them actually carrying out a nationwide ban on hrt treatment for adults? like at worst it’s just gonna be a red state-blue state divide like abortion is?

Currently the biggest one is in the “Big Beautiful Bill”, which features a ban on GAC via Medicaid or ACA. It initially included all private insurers as well, but that was scrapped. It’s likely they might try to pass one for private insurers later on. The recent ruling on GAC from SCOTUS definitely puts kids’ care up for grabs state by state. No doubt the more red states will extend this to adults as well. The ruling legalizes discrimination against people diagnosed with gender dysphoria;

Could it reach the full nationwide ban? Extremely unlikely, but it’s possible Will it be a red/blue divide? Most likely Will supportive doctors find loopholes to still prescribe hrt? Yes

naming trans people specifically would’ve been unconstitutional under equal protection by sex, but they made a wonderful loophole to harass people that only experience a situation exclusive to trans people. Prepare for shit to extend beyond medical care.

I’ve heard of a complete GAC ban in Texas and Kansas is refusing to change licenses, despite what the courts say. We just got a win for passports, but there’s no telling what the admin will actually do in response to the courts. Basically if you’re in a red state, you’re fucked and if you’re in a blue state, you’ll be fucked later :/
