Don’t waste your time or money with laser. If you want truly permanent results, go for electrolysis.

Same thing— it’s just a smaller laser used. You’d have to have high-contrast in skin and hair colour to get anything from it to begin with.

mm no IPL doesn’t use lasers. it’s “intense pulsed light” which is a completely different technology. lasers are good at targeting specific hairs/regions while IPL has a broader range of effect as it’s not a laser. more like a super bright lightbulb that you flick on for a fraction of a second. i’m just unsure of how this changes things practically.

also lasers have one specific wavelength, while ipl has a range of wavelengths so can penetrate the skin at different depths at the same time (sorry rant autism)

It follows the same approach as laser to target hairs with contrast by using intense light, it’s just a difference in the spectrum of light used. They both work to heat the individual hairs to try and cause damage to the root to inhibit growth.

ipl is generally not effective for virilized hairs
