I’ve had this discussion before and we actually came to the idea that it’s because they don’t see trans people as trans, to them a trans man is a woman and woman need protecting, women are too dumb to see the danger, they need to be kept safe from “real” men. And then they see trans women as men and men are the danger and obviously no one would ever *want* to be a woman unless it was for ulterior motives. Trans men to them are victims because they see them as meek girls trying to play a man. And
