yall this is my first full school year as an out transfem and I’m fully expecting people to be hateful (this is what my life has come to). Any advice or good comebacks worth using?
my go-to is some variation of calling them a middle schooler (oh, they admit middle schoolers now?)

no better comeback than a broken nose

they’re expecting a negative reaction, that’s what they want. ignore them, or, even better, show them kindness. make them reconsider their views and realize they’re nothing but a bully

Best advice for dealing with people saying ignorant things is to look confused and say a simple“what?” Or “can you elaborate on that?” or “what was your goal saying that?” And let them realize that they’re being stupid trying to rage bait you

PRIORITIZE YOUR SAFETY. Never put yourself in danger to prove a point, get out of any scenario that looks like it could turn bad.

And if you’re dealing with repeat offenders (fans) who aren’t leaving you alone, document everything and tell someone in administration and make it their problem
