Well. She wants to support you but a lot of parents don’t really want their kids to transition. I think some of us think we failed if you grew up not loving the body you were born with.

There is a part of that yeah. She would get upset whenever I said I wanted to shave my legs because she wanted me to love my body and body hair is often seen as gross. Thing is, I don’t think body hair is gross on other people and I think people who want it should celebrate it. I just don’t think it fits who I am.

She is cautious…she may be believing it’s a phase. She’s showing some support because she loves you and wants you happy.
